Ambassador City Jomtien Ocean Wing ★★★★

We liked the Water and Juice. The rest of the food was palatable! NO BREAKFAST FOODS AVAILABLE other than 2 sunny side up eggs that you had to wait 15-20 minutes in line to get!

For Breakfast there was ONLY Thai food available with ONLY 4 choices to choose from. Available choices for breakfast was Hot Curry, Rice, stir fried mixed vegetables, mini hot dogs, and ONLY sunny side up eggs! They also had a beach party that we paid 3000 baht for. It was so bad that we left before the ringing in of the New Year! ONLY Thai food available at the beach party! The announcer ONLY spoke Thai so foreigners did not understand! 70% of foreigners were Russian! It also took us 3 1/2 hours to check in!!! There were only 2 groups of people in front of us. Changed rooms 3 times as one room had brown dirty water coming out of the faucet!

The building was well built but poorly maintained according to the room I stayed. Pictures of Family Suite in Ocean Wing building on the Booking.com website are so different from the reality. I learned not to trust the pictures on the website.

The rooms are old and a restroom has a bad smell. Dirty water kept coming out for minutes and I could not use bathroom in my room but the other bathroom of a family suite. I informed the hotel and first receptionist wanted to offer to change another room but the manager did not allow her. I was instead told that someone would be sent to check and fix and would let me know. But I did not hear or see any note till we checked out. Couches are dirty and they and chair cover should have been replaced. I paid about 7100 baht(USD 230) for a family suite(4 people) at Ambassador City Jomtien Ocean Wing. But the stay was much worse than a three star hotel. 2.5 rating is the lowest rating I can give by choosing poor rating.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is good. Nice to have the eggs/omelette station. Swimming pools are great.

AC noise is terrible but if you switch it off, you will get all the room wet and the floor slippery. Room decoration is from 50 years ago and the natural light is limited giving it even an older look. The water pressure in the shower was difficult to adjust properly and the door didn't close correctly making a pool in the bathroom.

Traveled as a part of a group for sports competition, staying in the Ocean Wing. The hotel seems to be ready to allocate a big number of guests without problem. Reception desk staff speaks a fair English although it can be better. In any case they showed a great effort to help and were very very friendly. The room was very spacious and with nice views to the swimming pools and the ocean. Interior is very clean and furniture, bed and bathroom were in very good conditions, almost new. No noise could be heard from the street. Breakfast is ok and there were enough choices. With two saloons, there was enough space to not have to wait. Outside the hotel, there are some local restaurants, coffee shops and legit massage parlors that applies local prices and delivers good service. There is a 7Eleven and also a mini local market for souvenirs.

AC couldn't be regulated well and at some points, it was quite chilly. Pasta Pasta restaurant, in the hotel premises, is quite disappointing. Food and service speed is below standards.

The room is late 70’s/80’s style, with smell of mold, very old A/C that if you switch off creates a lot of condensation on the floor and also a lot of humidity everywhere (clothes included). Window with drafts making the wind very noisy. Staff cannot speak English. Overall the structure is very poorly maintained. Not worthy the money payed

Location is really good, nice environment. I can walk through the beach at 9 p.m. no danger. I love this place and all staff are nice

I was in Chinese restaurant there, I waited more than 1.30 hrs for food, Chef cooked too slow I got only 3 Dim sum and one pork plate. The staff didn't follow my order. The property should train the staff to follow customers, I didn't expect good service here, but i shouldn't get this bad service like this

Very nice hotel for the family too. Nice big swimming pool for children. It looks like a city... you can find in hotel area shops, 7 eleven, market and restaurants.

A little far from the town... you need taxi to move out.

Cleanliness of the room, convenient with all kinds of shops in walking distance, nice and clean beach.

Paying the dinner by coupons.... very troublesome and we have left with some 500-600 Baht coupons no chance to redeem back. They should allow guests to redeem from the hotel as long as they are s till staying at the hotel.

No pool towels unless you got in before 0.900hrs! Signed to charge room account for restaurant services then got a red demand for payment!! Never had that before world wide. Wine in restaurant ridiculously expensive. Hi service charge in Atrium .

The place is nice, and massive. Multiple "wings" that are made from, what seems to be, independent hotels they acquired separately. Our Ocean wing rooms were nice. The Breakfast was fresh, good, and well stocked. The italian restaurant was good and well priced too. We didnt eat at the other restaurants but they had about 3-4 other options. Staff was friendly. They have a nice little night market on site, as well as a tour agent and a mini mart. All the prices were reasonable.

Room was somewhat smelly. The top sheets were stained, which is pretty egregious because it's not hard to see brown smudges on white sheets and then just not use those. The beds were pretty hard even by Asia standards. The ac couldn't be controlled up or down, but it luckily did keep it at an ok temp. It would be nice if they upgraded the locks to key cards instead of us needing to carry around large keys and keychains. Unfortunately, a small issue became a real pain throughout the visit. Each day, getting pool/beach towels or understanding their towel "rules" was extremely difficult. On our first day, we went to two pools to get towels but both were out. We waited 2.5 hours but none came. So I went to the nearest reception (tower), but they also had none. I had to go back to the reception for my own wing to complain in order to get some towels. On the second day, we tried just getting towels at our own reception like the previous day. But no towels available. So we went to one of the nearest pools on the way to the beach (the main pool) to get towels. They had some. We tried to go to the beach from there, but were told we couldn't bring those towels out of the pool area. We went to the pool nearest the beach, only to find they were out of towels again. This "hunt" for towels occurred daily. This place is massive, so that is a lot of walking around to hunt for towels that they advertise being apart of their service. The towel outages were not a fluke. They happen so often that they have preprinted signs to tell you they're out. They estimate 60 minutes each time, but it was actually hours. In general, assuming they had towels anywhere, in order to get any, you must visit reception each morning to get "towel exchange cards", which are good for a limit number of towels. The number changed each time I asked for the cards and they were hesitant to let me have enough cards to get towels for everyone in my family.

Huge swimming pools.. Beach front.. we really loved it and spent all the time in pool/beach. Nice shopping area within complex. Atrium restaurant got a vegetarian menu(ask for it, it is not in the standard menu)

No steam room .Sauna and sports facilities are chargeable..
